I am probably not the normal Cambridge Who Who's candidate, as I do not regularly use computerized networking in my professional or personal life. When I joined Cambridge Who's Who, I said, "What did I get myself into?" It was not until I visited the office [and] met Tara [that] I realized what an honor was bestowed upon me for a 34-plus career in law enforcement. I applied for [Cambridge Who's Who] membership because I felt the company offered a global connection that would be harder to attain through social media alone. I have found useful networking opportunities with other behavioral pediatricians involved in Autism Spectrum Disorders and ADHD. By communicating with other like-minded doctors, I have conferred about etiologies, treatments and resources, which have exposed me to other styles of practice that I was not previously familiar with. I have also been able to enhance my sphere of influence, and share and obtain information on an international scale. This tool of networking has been great for learning and gleaning support from other doctors, and can definitely assist emerging doctors who are still developing their careers.
